No matter by which culture a woman is influenced, she understands the words wild and woman intuitively. When women hear those words, an old, old memory is stirred and brought back to life. The memory is of our absolute, undeniable and irrevocable kinship with the wild feminine, a relationship which may have become ghosty from neglect, buried by over-domestication, outlawed by the surrounding culture, or no longer understood anymore. We may have forgotten her names, we may not answer when she calls ours, but in our bones we know her, we yearn towards her; we know she belongs to us and we to her. ~ excerpt from ‘Women Who Run with the Wolves’
We have arrived at a point in time where we are all standing on the edge, whether we mean to or not. And from this edge we have a conscious choice to leap into the darkness, the unknown, or continue to rest in the safety of familiar social structures and conditioning.
You’re invited into this sacred, safe container for women, held and guided by Women’s Yoga Teacher + Therapist Kate Payne and Women’s Health Physiotherapist and Body Conscious Guide Taryn Gaudin.
Into the Wild is 3 weeks of exploration into the Self through the lens of what it means to be woman.
Together we will share yoga, meditation and breath practices, sacred ritual and ancient teachings and stories all with the intention of experiencing the vastness of our inner landscape, and reclaiming our creative power as woman.
It is hard, to begin, to get out of bed, to close our eyes and cross this first threshold. To fall forward into the wind and let ourselves topple off the edge, to get in the tiny, rocking boat. It’s a big step, this first movement towards wholeness. ~ excerpt from ‘If Women Rose Rooted’
